I can answer this question from firsthand experience. Yes, you can drag and drop entire playlists, individual songs, albums, artist collections, directly from iTunes on the Mac. Here's the details... you can only do this after downloading the Sony app from their website. It's a really basic application that becomes the place you drop the songs onto, and it converts some of the unsupported formats to what will work with the Walkman. You can also set the conversion settings in the Sony app to save space on the Walkman if you want to. The download link is included in the user manual. You can find the user manual on the Sony website if you want to check out the software before you buy the Walkman device. What formats will work with the Walkman? Here's what I've tried so far: M4A, ALAC, FLAC, MP3, WAV. What formats will not work? I have found that the protected type files will not work. For example, like 10 years ago I bought some songs from iTunes and those are protected format, meaning I have to sign in to iTunes to play them, and so they will not transfer to the Walkman.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The simplest way to transfer your iTunes library is by copying the contents of your iTunes Media folder to a microSD card. The Sony audio player plays essentially the same kinds of files that iTunes can play. Do not waste your time installing Sony's proprietary software, as there is no need. 1. Make sure that all purchased songs have been downloaded. 2. If any songs were stored outside your iTunes Media folder, select the iTunes command to consolidate your library. 3. Now, check the size of your iTunes Media folder. 4. Buy a sufficiently large microSD card. 5. Pop it in to an SD card adapter (included with the card) and pop that into your Mac's SD card slot (most Macs have one). 6. Copy the contents of your iTunes Media folder to a folder named MUSIC, on your microSD card. 7. Safely eject the microSD card. 8. Insert the card into the Sony audio player, with the card's label facing down.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure. I previously had a Sony mp3 player and when I downloaded my music from my library, there are a lot of songs that I can't listen to on my new Sony mp3 player. I'm not computer savvy, so I don't know how to change the file formats to play all my tracks. I'm sorry if I couldn't provide you with the proper information.
