“I cannot get this device to pair using blue tooth. I have a pair of Samsung earbuds and it won't pair with them so I purchased some Sony WF-XB700 ear buds and it won't pair with them either. Instruction guides online did not help.”

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. I own this Walkman and it has no problem connecting to a Bose Bluetooth speaker or to the Toyota Tacoma 2016 Entune Blurooth. It’s automatic on the Bose and in the truck I have to select it on the car radio and then it automatically connects. It shows a temporary window on the Walkman stating that is connecting and the music starts playing. For the he Sony headphones there is an icon on the Walkman, did you check that?
