Hello, Peterk! We cannot guarantee its operation with your car stereo when using it as a USB mass storage. We recommend using a connecting cable and connect it to the AUX jack of your car stereo. Playback will depend on the way of transferring songs to your Walkman. It will resume the last song you played. Thank you! - Romeo
