“Can these be used to just cancel ambient noise without having to listen to music? If so, how do you make that happen?”

• The SP700N have a free app called Headphones. When the charged units are placed in your ears, activate Headphones and choose the desired ambient sound control you want. you can also select your mode using the buttons on the devices themselves. If you don't want music or other audio, then just don't hit the play button on your phone. Be aware, these units work well but have a short battery life until needing to be recharged, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
