You can adjust the effect of noise cancelling using the Sony Headphones Connect app. Please check on this Help Guide link on adjusting the noise canceling function: https://support.am.sony.com/release/Help_Connect_4730254137.pdf Also, changing the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears will help improve the effect of noise cancelling. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different. The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will also help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can adjust the intensity level of the ANC in the Sony headphones app under ambient sound control (see attached photo). Make sure you have the right tips installed. That's very important when creating proper seal. Test the fit on the app which will tell you if your earbuds tips are too big or not. Once you get the settings right you should have a better experience. Last thing: Turn off sound chimes for the ambient sound controls auto ANC.
