Hi ssk8almost15, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you can individually use either of the earbuds. You can remove one unit of the headset from the charging case and use the unit by itself. In this case, only the unit that has been removed from the charging case will turn on. Hope this helps! -Sam

Please try again later.Yes, but because of the latest firmware, it caused a glitch where it made the non-playback bud undetectable by bluetooth, so making them master-slave buds. I fixed it by making both bud voice assistant then confirming the control change window, they connected, then i changed them back to one bud playback and other to ambient controls, confirmed again and now they're back to being independent buds.
