“I purchased these headphones a few weeks ago but I can't figure out how to pump up the bass. I prefer a hard base sound and these sound very tinny. Any suggestions? I did play with the equalizer but it just wasn't enough for me.”

If you're android you can download a app called wavelet and pair it some nice presets and also bump the bass up more on sony application. MX4 aren't known for bass. If you want bass I'd recommended Bose quietcomfort.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I actually backed off the equalizer because the sound was part airy and muddy at first(to my standards at least). I cut down the 400hz and added a bit more treble and mid-range. Hope this screenshot helps!
