Yes . If you download the Sony app and Slide the slider all the way to noise-canceling it's dead quiet

It is also very effective at removing everyday ambient noise. The noise canceling function works primarily on noise in the low-frequency band such as vehicles and air conditioning. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled. That being said, these should be pretty effective at canceling out noise and even more so if you have audio playing while the noise cancelation features are on. -Ralph
