These aren't Bluetooth headphones and won't pair to a Macbook. That said, if you want to view surround sound content on your Macbook and listen with virtual surround sound headphones, you can use these with a USB to multi-channel Toslink adapter, but you'll be limited to 5.1 surround sound. Also, keep in mind that the base station isn't exactly portable. A better option might be a set of gaming headphones that support surround sound, but be sure that they support surround sound with a mac - those that require installing drivers or custom software are generally PC-only.
