A:AnswerNo they do not receive texts. There is a mic to allow you to talk for calls without needing to directly use cell phone/speaker phone. I primarily use for listening to music at the gym and these are my absolute favorite. The earphones allow you to restart or skip songs (nice feature that I haven't been able to find on some other earphones), and has volume controls. The Bluetooth also has decent range before becoming static which is a problem I found with other brands.
