• I never used it as a speaker phone. However, I purchased 2 with protection and have been through 5 of them. At the present time, I have 0 working (after 5 of them!). I think the better question would be "How well do they work?". 4 out of 5 worked great for the first few charges. Then they won't charge. The 5th one, straight out of the box (after charging), won't pair to either of my headphones. Don't waste your money. At one of my exchanges they said, "This is the second one returned today for the same problem." (wouldn't charge)
