Without knowing the room specifications size-wise and also if there's background water noise and then again if you're teaching or having a lot of people that are talking and it's an echo your room who can actually say. The Acoustics are going to matter how far the sound travels but in my experience they're very conducive to loud music and a very substantial extra bass feature. I used two of them as kind of a makeshift sound bar because I live in a small apartment and I have a double output headphone setup on my television and when I have them all the way up I'm using my TV volume at 2. So for what all that's worth I would suggest trying one of them and if not take it back to Best Buy cuz you got that window of time for a refund. Also, I've never had a problem with the three that I do own is there durable they hold a charge for many hours before it tells you to recharge so all around for me they work out great.
