Hi . The party speaker has an ipod dock. This one you could only connect by bluethooth or aux cable. Plus you could buy a second xb7 and do not need cables to connect them. They could connect to each other. I recommend the xb7 is better. Try to wait when they lower the price is set at 349.99 at store but for holidays they put it on sale for 199.99 and that when I got two. Great buy I don't retreat it.
