All Sony phones have a warranty. The warranty is dependent on the country it was originally released (sold) . If yours has the fingerprint scanner deactivated, it is most likely a USA model. Models with an active fingerprint scanner most likely are not covered by the USA warranty, which means that to get warranty work done, it would have to be returned to a warranty center in the country it was originally released.
