Hello ATL, Thanks for reaching out with your question. The SRSXV900 has an internal, non-removable battery. Changing the battery if there were an issue would have to be done by an authorized service center. Hope this helps. The X-Balanced Speaker design for the woofer produces deep, powerful bass, alongside dedicated midrange drivers for vocal clarity, even when you turn up the volume.
