QuestionOptical zoom is 24 -70 mm (full frame equivalent) How many mm of digital zoom maximum ? From specs digital zoom is x44, so 70x44 = 3080 ?

- Answer Hi Danielqk, Sony commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. Your calculation is correct. You get an equivalent of 3080mm equivalent using the 44x digital zoom of the ZV1 camera. However, this magnification is available only when image size is set to VGA which is the lowest quality. In addition, digital zoom only magnifies the resulting image after the last optical zoom available. Images tend to deteriorate the more digital zoom you use. Regards, Larry Sony Social Support

QuestionWhen playing back video on the camera itself, are you able to hear audio? When I playback video on the camera, it is silent. I have the volume turned up to max and still no sound. How can I fix this?

- Answer The fluffy is not a microphone - it is a wind protector for the microphone on the camera. It reduces wind noise if filming outdoors on a windy day. These are referred to as "dead cats" and are available with most outboard microphones. You will need to contact Sony to find out if you can get a replacement.
