Definitely not. Try to test with another Bluetooth device, and if you still hear static, then return them. Most likely it is the earbuds. I love mine. Hope it works out.

Regarding your question: It's normal to hear a little static at low volumes, if the static is too high that cannot endure, please try the below steps: - Make sure the charging case has enough power. Note: after the earbuds are fully charged, the steady white light on the earbuds will shut off. - Take the earbuds out of the case and see if a flashing white light comes on. If it doesn't, try manually pressing the button of the earbuds to power them on. - Use a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol to gently clean the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips. This is best done when sound is playing through your earbuds at max volume. -Try using another USB cable to power the charging case. We dearly hope we were able to help you with this information.
