The headphones come with 3 modes: Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), Pass-Through, and Normal (ANC Off). There is a button on the headphones to cycle through these modes. In the free Soundcore app, you can customize the "intensity" as you call it of the ANC mode. They also have an "Adaptive Noise Cancelling" feature that automatically adjusts the intensity of ANC based on ambient noise levels. Whatever you set the ANC mode to in the app saves to the headphones for all future uses.
