Yes, this cover is for the latest generation iPad, 9.7 but not the pro version.

No. It will not fit inside this case. Mine would not fit all the way inside. One corner would not push all the way down, and, unless the entire iPad is inside the case, the latch will not snap down when you close the case. It’s best to buy a case specifically designed for your iPad. Pads are too expensive and the glass is too delicate to risk trying to force it and ultimately breaking the glass.

Yes, it is a perfect fit for the 6th Generation iPad 9.7. I just bought it to protect the new iPad and it is perfect!
