• The case is plastic so water will not damage the case, but the case does not seal the phone so damage to your phone is likely if dropped in water or other liquid.

• Yes, I accidentally had my phone out in the rain without even knowing, and after 10 minutes I found out I had left it outside there was absolutely no problem with it.
