• More memory the tabs and stuff you can have open without slow down. Get 16gb. You can't upgrade the memory, I believe its soldered (spelling?) on.

• Question doesn't really make sense. The simplest way to put it is that more RAM means you can run more demanding programs that eat up lots of memory, or that you can multitask more by running lots of different programs concurrently
