It says right on the webpage, overview/features: Adjustable design Accommodates wrists from 5.5" to 7.1" in circumference

IMO large is for people with really large wrists. Like.. really large. I have a small wrist (sorry!) and I use the highest notch on the band when using the small band (it's actually small/medium). I'd get small and if it doesn't work you can always return it.
