• The grating in the front and back of the fan is too closely spaced and distant from the blades to be of concern, but around the outer circumference of the fan, it could be possible to contact the ends of the fan blades.

• I wouldn't leave a child unsupervised with the fan. It's unlikely that the child can stick a finger into the blade, but the turning cover on the front of the fan may break the child's finger if they are playing with it.
