i'm in So. Cal in the desert and mine is under my countertop and under a patio cover. it is great. holds bottled beer at 24 degrees if I put cans in at that temp they freeze. I prefer beer in a bottle so no problems there. the only issue I have is if I overfill it and the air can't circulate the coils in the back freeze up. When this happens i turn it off and let it defrost for a day. the best addition to our pool and backyard ever.
