QuestionA simple question. Do you have to use distilled water? We have a small apartment in a retirement home and with the unit I purchased when we did not use distilled water we got a powdery film over the entire room.

- Answer not necessarily so. i use tap water. it's hard. i've used distilled. i get the white powder residue both types of water. try a humidifier water descaller. follow instructions accurately should take care of situation for you. it's done good for me. d
