It only takes a few minutes to set up your Contactless and Chip Reader. The steps are below: Go to the Square app and tap the three horizontal lines. Tap Settings > Hardware > Card Readers. Tap Connect a Reader. There will be detailed instructions in-app that you can follow to complete the pairing, but just in case, they’re also listed below: To put the reader into pairing mode, press the reader’s power button for 3-10 seconds until you see 4 orange blinking lights. Immediately release your finger when you see these orange lights. When the reader is connected, it will be listed as Reader Connected in the app and the reader’s lights will turn green for 2 seconds.
