Does this work with ipad 2 null

Is “NOT” compatible with IPad Air. Unless the IPad Air is a 2013.

Now this I do know the answer to. NO, it does NOT work with the iPad2. I went into the store with my iPad so that I would be sure to get the right Square unit. I found that it would not work so ended up buying a new iPad as well. Actually, I needed an newer one anyway. This unit does not have the 30 pin charger that the iPad2 has. I think Square did make one for the 2 back in the day. So you might find one some place else, likely used. We all know that it's just a matter of time though when we will need to upgrade. I found this to be a good time for me.
