• The manuals showing the stacking kit with the "gray little plastic piece" for the center part that you are referring to are for the older 27" LG Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK1, which was discontinued and replaced by the newer Stacking Kit for Most 27" LG Washers and Dryers - Silver, Model # KSTK4. The instructions for installing either kit are still the same so the BBY installers are correct...^Ivan.
