No it does not. Where the feet sit is only about 1/4 inch thick. But it does cover the gap in front. And sides. Just a cleaner look and it gets screwed into the top of the bottom unit. The back feet on the top gets locked in place to keep it from shifting
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No the stacking kit itself, but you have to consider 1.5' as a minimum height between washer and dryer, to let the dryer's feet fitting the kit.

That said, the back feet of the dryer need to be lifted over the kit to the connecting point in the back 4 inches of the stack kit it is not a smooth flush front to back slide. To do that you will need that 1.5in extra clearance
