My guess is these will ship before release to prevent that issue. Since it is just a Steam key they don't have to worry about people playing early.

It arrives physically within the Collectors Edition Package and you get a ship date when placing the order. I chose the option for pickup, I'd rather not worry about shipping dates or delays etc...

Please try again later.Best Buy and other retailers will more than likely ship these out so they get in the hands of those who purchased on 9/1/23, however be advised it says "up to 5 days early access" instead of "5 days early access" which means they are giving themselves a protective buffer from people getting upset if they only get to play two earliers due to shipping delays, etc.
