If you read the promotional material, it is "UP TO 5 days early access" precisely because they can't confirm that every reseller will get the game into your hands on 8/31 or even 9/1. Up to 5 days allows them to not be liable in the event that the game doesn't arrive or ship to you, etc. Before the actually launch date. I would say there is probably a very low likelihood you see this on 8/31, however it does seem as though they are attempting to ship them in time for them to arrive slightly before the actual launch day, as a shipment on the 1st would probably arrive by about the 3rd or 4th.
