• I used this bracket to do what you want to do, install a 2.5" SSD into a 3.5" rotational hard drive bay. No problems.

• Not sure. This is for use in a 3.5” bay. If you don’t have one availabile, then it probably won’t work. Need to check the computer specs. I removed the DVD player to install mine.
