• Yes, you can. However you may have flickering issues at 5k. The only dock I have had zero flickering issues with is CalDigit TS3. I think TS3 Plus is now out, but cannot speak on it. Still on pre-order I think. And sold out.

• Yes. You should be able to run one monitor on the HDMI and one on the thunderbolt with the right adapter.
