“I want to use this headset for both PC and PS4. I want to plug in the wireless connector to the PC and the 3.5mm audio cable to the PS4 controller. I am wondering if this will work, will the mic work for both devices? Thanks for any help.”

Yes it will work, however it will not work simultaneously. The 3.5mm cable takes precedence over any wireless function.

Yes it works for both. Headset is completely wireless on both with the usb dongle. No need for a wire to the PS4 controller

yes it will work on both devices but not simultaneously on both devices the 3.5mm will take priority when connected

This is pretty much the setup that I have for this device but i just switch which usb i have the adapter plugged into. I simply switch it from a usb port on my epc to one on the PS4 and it works great!
