• Only way to get true 7.1 Sound is through Software that you run through a PC, but with that said. The Speakers on this Headset are great and provide a very open sound when is not Surround Sound, but it is better than traditional Stereo Sound.

• Only PC gets 7.1 the rest do not but still sounds great. The Pros might but more money.

• no you need the PC software to generate the surround sound
