• the noise cancelling is for the microphone. will keep abrupt noises like dropping things or kids yelling tv getting loud instantly etc from being played to others.

• It works on both ends it just minimalizes pick up and also with the ear pieces themseleves when you have them on you only hear whats going on in your headset
