• You can push the microphone into the headset but thats it.

• The microphone doesnt disconnect from the headset, but it does retract into the headset pretty much seamlessly so it's not extended and dangling in your face when using as headphones

• No but you can mute it. Mute button is very easy to accidentally press though so be careful you don’t unmute yourself

• It can't be removed, but it is retractable(meaning it can be pushed into the headphone) if you don't want to use it.

• No, the microphone is attached to the headset indefinitely, however, if you'd like to them as just headphones you can just have the microphone muted.
