iPod Touch 5 gen or later... yes, it works. Look at the side of the Nimbus' box. It list all iDevice Models that are compatible with. As for the VR or XL version, I have no opinion as I don't own any. May I remind you the need to consider the games as well, for not all games are written in conjunction with this controller. You have to check each games with other people who have tried with that or those particular game(s).

Please try again later.The Nimbus isn't compatible with iPod touch 5th gen,and the Stratus XL requires AA batteries and has issues regarding the d-pad (too big), shoulder triggers (so weak that it actually impacts gameplay in a negative way) and updating the firmware (good luck with that; they made it unnecessarily difficult). My recommendation-the PXN Speedy. Its negatives are superficial (placement of analog sticks and function buttons; they shouldn't impact gameplay in any meaningful way) and even comes with a phone grip.
