• Yes, you use a lightning charger (same as your iPhone 8) to charge the controller.

• Yes you do but the appletv comes with a charger for the remote so you can use that same one to charge the controller but not sure if it works on 8plus but I’m very sure it does cause I’ve seen a lot of videos with people using it
