• Hi Les, Roku players are created to be used on devices with HDMI input port. Laptops generally have HDMI output ports, rather than input ports.

• I’m not sure. I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to with a monitor/screen and internet. I have only used the Roku device on TV’s.
