“What can't this or any other portable CD player be paired with the in-dash radio of your car like you can with your cell phone?!? Why have to go through the FM? Seems so last century.”

I agree. I guess the automotive industry has gone high tech, knowing that CD's are being phased out. So no quick plug-in. Studebaker could have installed Bluetooth similar to a cellphone, but cost would have increased, then no one would buy it. I'm pleased with this player.
