• Not sure what you mean by a Metal Base, But this unit is built rather solid. The adjustable bowl adaption makes it much easier to get the edges of the bowl and the entire unit is built solid.. no loose bits or any thing. if you are looking for professional quality at a home budget.. this is in my opinion rather close.
