Hi John, Thanks for your question. Electrical codes in different areas of the country vary widely so we cannot offer specific advice in this area. In general, especially if exposed to wet conditions, the SunBrite outdoor TV will require a grounded and GFCI protected power outlet with a weatherproof cover (commonly found at hardware stores and home improvement locations). We'd also recommend contacting a Best Buy In-Home Advisor (IHA) and/or qualified professional AV integrator/installer for guidance.
