“I'm looking to mount the Veranda series under a patio but on a ceiling mount in a corner. The back of the TV would be exposed more to the direct sun in this position but not the viewing screen. Could I still get away with the Veranda series?”

Thanks for your questions and your interest in the SunBriteTV 55" Veranda series 4K UHD Outdoor TV (SB-5574UHD-BL) for full-shade applications. You may want to consider a SunBriteTV 55" Signature series 4K UHD Outdoor TV (SB-S-55-4K), as direct sun on the back of the unit could heat the TV beyond it's intended operating temperature range. Also because sun directly behind the unit will backlight the screen and make it harder so see, the ultra bright anti glare screen on the Signature series may provide you a better viewing experience in these backlit and bright ambient light conditions. I see from your photo that you have outdoor curtains behind the location where the TV would be installed. If this is the case, you could probably alleviate the above potential issues by fully shading the rear of the TV by drawing the curtains while in use.
