    • Answer Randy – thank you for asking! All SunBriteTVs are fully weatherproof, and meant to be permanently installed outdoors. Their powder-coated aluminum exteriors and weatherproof seals protect internal components from rain, snow, dust insects, and contaminants. Veranda Series models are 4K UHD and designed for use in fully shaded areas. They are up to 30% brighter than typical indoor TVs. Signature Series models are also 4K UHD and designed for use in partial sun applications. They are up to 3 times brighter than typical indoor TVs. Pro Series has both 4K and 1080P models and designed for use in full sun and active applications. They are up to 3 times brighter than typical indoor TVs and are more resistant to high temperatures. They also have a protective glass shield over the screen to help protect it from impact. Veranda units come with a one year warranty rather than our standard two year warranty. Typically a viewing distance of 7’ – 10’ is optimal for a 55” TV. It does depend on preference, of course, and the TV is still easily watchable at greater distances. However, while choosing the right size is definitely important, probably the most important thing to consider is how much sun exposure the screen will receive and where to install the TV. All SunBriteTVs are fully weatherproof, and meant to be permanently installed outdoors. Their powder-coated aluminum exteriors and weatherproof seals protect internal components from rain, snow, dust insects, and contaminants. Veranda Series models are 4K UHD and designed for use in fully shaded areas. They are up to 30% brighter than typical indoor TVs.     • Answer 8 foot 8 inches ....another issue you should be concerned with is sound. Yes it is protected from the elements but in doing so they blocked the speakers. Need to get a bullet proof sound bar if they make such a thing so you can crank it up.

    • Answer Hi FuzzyBunny, Thanks for your interest in the SunBriteTV - Veranda 55" 4K UHD Outdoor TV (SB-5574UHD-BL) SunBriteTV Veranda Series models are 4K UHD and designed for use in fully shaded areas. They are up to 30% brighter than typical indoor TVs. The SB-HDWT wireless transceiver is NOT compatible with this product. The reason is because the wireless transceiver is meant for 1080P resolutions and this TV is 4K UHD. Some SunBriteTV Pro Series Models (SB-3211, SB-4217, SB-4917, and SB-5518) ARE compatible, since the TVs are 4K UHD resolution. Many times, it is possible to split the signal from the cable box and run an HDMI cable outside to the TV. We'd suggest consulting with a qualified professional residential custom electronics installer to review your specific install.   • QuestionI'm looking to mount the Veranda series under a patio but on a ceiling mount in a corner. The back of the TV would be exposed more to the direct sun in this position but not the viewing screen. Could I still get away with the Veranda series?

    • Answer Thanks for your questions and your interest in the SunBriteTV 55" Veranda series 4K UHD Outdoor TV (SB-5574UHD-BL) for full-shade applications. You may want to consider a SunBriteTV 55" Signature series 4K UHD Outdoor TV (SB-S-55-4K), as direct sun on the back of the unit could heat the TV beyond it's intended operating temperature range. Also because sun directly behind the unit will backlight the screen and make it harder so see, the ultra bright anti glare screen on the Signature series may provide you a better viewing experience in these backlit and bright ambient light conditions. I see from your photo that you have outdoor curtains behind the location where the TV would be installed. If this is the case, you could probably alleviate the above potential issues by fully shading the rear of the TV by drawing the curtains while in use.   • QuestionCan I use the tv in a living room with three open Windows which give too much clarity? Can I watch it at night too in this same place?

    • Answer Hi there. Great question. This TV should perform very well in the environment you describe. It’s up to 30% brighter than many indoor TVs with a vivid 4K UHD picture. However, our Signature Series TV (SB-S-55-4K-BL) is really the ultimate to combat high-glare, inside or outside. It is up to 3 times brighter than many indoor TVs, and has TruVision anti-glare screen technology. The Signature Series will be amazingly bright and clear in high-glare areas. Both the Veranda and the Signature Series have picture modes that optimize brightness for night time viewing. Movie mode on Veranda and OptiView SunBrite night mode for Signature.   • QuestionAre there inputs for regular headsets?

    • Answer There are no external input interfaces. All inputs are contained within a sealed compartment on the back of the panel, protecting against moisture. I don't recall seeing any standard headset jack in that configuration, which wouldn't make sense anyway unless one intended to leave them as a permanent installation.

  • QuestionCan wireless headsets be used with this TV?

    • Answer Hi there, The short answer is "probably" (depending on the headset), but you'll need a compatible wireless transmitter to interface with the TV's audio output connections. The SunBriteTV Veranda series has both RCA (variable volume level) and Toslink optical (fixed volume level) outputs. Basically you'll be adding wireless audio streaming capability with a 3rd party transmitter, with it's audio inputs connected to the Veranda's audio outputs. Depending on the size and specifications of the transmitter, there is a good chance it may be able to be housed in the weatherproof media compartment in the back of the TV. Our weatherproof outdoor TVs don't have Wi-Fi connections or Bluetooth built in. We let customers connect their preferred content sources, and focus on the things that are most important long term to outdoor TV owners: Safety (Weatherproof), Durability (Powder-coated aluminum case), and Performance (brighter than typical indoor TVs). A: Yes, you’ll just need a compatible HDMI cable Q: Does the SunBrite wall mount provide easy access to the rear panel hookups? A: Please advise which wall mount you’re referring to. We have quite a few different models of weatherproof mounts. Out most common are the WM-46 and the WM46-NA. Q: How far does the bracket extend away from the mounting wall and how much does it angle from side to side? A: Assuming you’re referencing the WM-46 full-motion mount, it extends to a maximum of 17 inches and has 15 degrees of tilt top and bottom. How much side-to-side angle will likely be limited by the size of the TV mounted (a 43” TV will be able to be angled much further than a 65” TV). The mount itself can angle past 45 degrees.
