The most common reason for the sound not working on 4K TVs is an EDID handshake issue. The content source device and the TV perform a digital “handshake” to communicate correctly with eachother. If the TVs settings are not set for the correct content source, it can create audio and video issues. The most common issue is when the TV EDID is set to receive 4K content, but the content source (cable box/media player/DVD player, etc.) is not 4K. Here are the instructions to set EDID correctly for 1080P HD or 4K UHD content sources For SunBriteTV Veranda 4K UHD Models 1. With the TV powered on and fully booted up press the Menu button on the SunBrite remote. 2. Scroll down and click on “Input Settings” 3. Scroll down and click on “Set HDMI EDID” 4. Change desired input to the correct format of 1.4 or 2.0 HDMI EDID 1.4 is for 1080P HD source input resolution. HDMI EDID 2.0 is for 4K UHD source input resolution.
