    • Answer Hello, Each of the trash cans is 39 gallons. For a can of this size, you’ll want a trash bag that’s slightly larger than the capacity to ensure a proper fit without tearing. Typically, a 40–45 gallon bag works best. This should give you enough room to tie it off securely while keeping it from splitting.
