There are two ways. 1. Connect the device to WiFi, download their app on a smartphone, and use the app to transfer pictures from the phone to the device. 2. It comes with a cable that you can use to connect it to a computer. Once connected, there’s a way to put it into transfer mode and copy pictures from the computer to the device. I forget what the exact icon is; it’s not in the instructions, so I just tried menu options til I found one that worked.
