This flash does have some of its own optical triggering capability, but it sounds like you need radio. I recently started using Neewer FC16 triggers for those situations. This is a basic trigger with no TTL and no controls from the camera, but they work and are affordable. If you prefer TTL and also remote adjustability in a radio system, look to Godox flashes and transmitter.
