Do these in order 1 ) put new batteries in flash 2) make sure camera has functional batteries. Can still be low as long as they can turn camera on. Recharged, Fresh the best. New/RECHARGED. 3) turn camera on. 4) turn flash on 5) fire flash Hopefully it works now
